Thumbelina, 2021

Thumbelina is an original story ballet choreographed by Ashley Hensel-Browning with a musical setting by Vermont composer Evan Premo. 

Ashley conceived of "Thumbelina" as a way to adapt dance performance to pandemic-era restrictions and bring joy to our community during a difficult time. 

Several family-friendly performances were staged in Windsor County during June of 2021, with outreach to libraries and summer programs to engage new populations in classical music and dance. The production included a stunning set and props made by local woodworker Mark Yuengling and a cast of teenage and adult dancers from the region who participated in company-style training in order to create the show.
